Seoul - Food Tour

From Trip Advisor, we've read so much on Ongo Food Tour.  I booked the tour online in advance and were told to meet up in their office at the appointed date.  This food tour is fun and you get to meet other tourists. Our guide, Chuck is cheerful and kept the mood light and happy with the liquor he kept pouring.

First stop, BBQ meat.  This outlet was introduced to be the first shop that started it all - Korean BBQ!
The above are some condiments to go with the meat.

These is a curved pit. Supposedly to make the fire more even for the meat.

The shochu is mixed with Coke. Taste great!

We were told to not overeat. Next stop - This mini restaurant sells simple farmer's food.  No meat here.

some deco on the walls.

Makgeolli - rice wine.  This goes well with the food being served (remember, no meat! Therefore, no shochu)

nice kimchi!

huge block of tofu.

Next stop, to a placed that served "bong-chu boiled chicken"

This is like chicken stew boiled with noodles and lots of carrots, cucumbers, potatoes, etc dumped in.  This tasted great!  After that, Chuck took us for a walk in a night market.

Mung beng pancakes. These are delicious!

The night ended at this night market. Locals were busy dining in this area after work.  This food tour is highly recommended. Thumbs up!
