Munich again

From Venice, we took a flight back to Munich. We wanted to go to Salzburg, but as the weather did not look promising, we were advised to take this tour instead. This tour is to visit the many castles Munich is famous for.

this is the view from the bus.

this is the front entrance of King Ludwig Linderhof Castle

do you see his foot... ?

another one ... these are at the ceiling.. according to the tour guide, these were done by a French artist.

scenery outside the castle.

After the tour of the castle, the tour bus stopped at Linderhof town.

we went into one of the shop. As you can see, these are wood carvings. very nicely done. the price is too fantastic to mention here...

Neutschweinstein Castle, Munich

From Linderhof castle, we adjourned to what "Disneyland" had copied from. This castle is beautiful... and rightly so, they disallowed photo-taking inside the castle.

nope.. this is not the N castle... hhehe...

Thats me... there are 2 options going uphill. Either you pay Euro5 to take the horse ride or you walk. So, we walked! Uphill... and along the way, you will come across piles of horse shit for your enjoyment and beautiful view (pics below).

This is the side view of the castle..

we were queueing outside the castle, waiting for them to display our ticket no.

some paintings on the wall of the castle.

Sorry guys, these are the only pics I have for N Castle... no pics allowed inside and they were pretty strict about it!!
